Paper Pumpkin #1

Starting in March, Stampin' Up! is offering a series of kits called Paper Pumpkin. Basically, you sign up and each month you receive a kit. These kits come with everything you need to create that month's project, be it stamps, ribbon, paper, stickers, etc (and, of course, instructions!). If you just want to try it out instead of quickly committing to it monthly, there is a trial you can purchase where you will just receive one month's project.

The pictures above are one sample of these kits. The top left card pictured is the standard layout for the kit. I decided to play around the pieces and create different layouts to show the versatility of the kit - you don't have to follow the instructions exactly if you won't want to! This particular kit comes with four pieces of pre-cut cardstock for the card base, four pieces of circle patterned paper, a sheet of stickers (scallops, striped banners, sun-shapes), two clear stamps, and buttons.

Merry Christmas Owl

Here is the Christmas card I made for all my friends this year using the Owl Occasions stamp set and the Festival of Prints paper stack. (Inspired by this card) I love the look of multiple pieces/patterns of paper and I thought this was a great way to combine some.

Snowflake Tag

This year I had three holiday parties as well as gifts I needed to give so I wanted something that would be quick and easy to make. First, I covered candy canes in chocolate and then dipped them in sprinkles. Then, after packaging them up, I made these little snowflake tags with the snowflake die cut, Festival of Prints paper stack, rhinestones, and Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. I used these as desserts at one of the parties as well as gifts for each of my dance students. For the dance teachers I work with I made them a little more "adult" by tying them to a small glass of wine with the Cherry Cobbler sweater trim ribbon.

Fall Swap

Super simple layering leaves for fall swap (and a lotta alliteration)!

T.P. Mummy

When I saw the mummy in the Googly Ghouls stamp set I knew I wanted to incorporate toilet paper into whatever I made with it. The problem was that when I tried using the t.p. it kept ripping and coming apart, which made me frustrated. After giving the idea a break I finally went back to it and just went for it, not really knowing what it was going to look like. While working I decided to keep it simple and try not to do too many details so the t.p. stayed together and was easy to work with.

Because this is a Halloween card, I'm also adding it to Week 6 of the Great Pumpkin Blog Hop. Check out what others have done this week using the links below!

Blue Angel

A few weeks ago one of my close friends left for basic training for the Navy. Her goal is to fly planes for the Navy, particularly the Blue Angels. I made a card to send her since we can't see, call or text her. I used the plane from the Need for Speed stamp set and colored it to look like a Blue Angel.

Silly Witch, Candy is for Kids!

I have been SO behind on making cards and projects!

13 Weeks of Halloween Fun!

But I'm back now and for Week 5 of the Great Pumpkin Blog Hop I decided to make a quick 3D project rather than a card like I've been doing, however I had no idea what to do. After thinking for awhile I decided to make a cute little witch - the bag contains her green "skin" and the topper is a huge, fuzzy witch's hat!
